Miami Horror - Wild Motion (RAC Remix)

When RAC (a.k.a Andre Allen Anjos) gets on the remix for a tune you can be sure to expect a track that sits on the fence somewhere between indie, dance and pop with pure 'sun's shining, convertible top down, hands in the air' kinda good vibes.
This latest remix for Australian synth-pop band Miami Horror is bursting at the seams with all those pre-mentioned good vibrations. Catchy, buoyant and colourful; it's tracks like this that see no end to the summer.
'Wild Motion' Remix EP is out Today,

Metrik - Slipstream

'Slipstream' is the B-side to Metrik's new single release 'Human Again', the latest feature on Hospital Records in the run up to Metrik's highly anticipated debut album 'Universal Language', which will see its release on September 29th, with both tracks from the single also featuring on the album.
I'm a bit baffled as to why he has chosen to title this as a stand-alone tune, as opposed to a 'Drift' VIP, due to their incredible likeness in production and sound, but hey-ho, I was a huge fan of Drift, and Slipstream packs an equally powerful punch so theres no complaints here.
Really looking forward to getting my hands on a copy of the album and hearing in full what the London-based DJ/Producer has to offer.
Purchase 'Human Again' single.

Tokyo Prose - Saving Grace VIP

Tokyo Prose produced absolute beauty with the latest 'Presence' LP which was released last month; 13 tracks of goosebump-generating liquid - and they haven't stopped there.
My favourite track of theirs has recieved the VIP treatment; 'Saving Grace'.
Refining what I didn't think could be any more polished. The tweaks are subtle but much valued in increasing the songs atmospherics.

S.P.Y - Stardust (feat. BCee)

So S.P.Y's 'Back To Basics, Chapter 2' is out now and it's taken me awhile for it to sink in.
I've said before that in my eyes S.P.Y can do no wrong and this LP is a shining example of that statement Back to Basics does exactly what it says on the tin.
I knew 'Stardust' was immediately going to be a contender for my favourite song off the album before I could even hit play - a collaboration of two of my top producers on two of my top labels, Hospital and Spearhead; all put in sync to produce a track that puts your brain into motion. Masterpiece.

Also check out S.P.Y's official video for 'Manicured Reality' - holds some thought-provoking messages about today's digital society.

Silverlined - XYconstant

'Silverlined' by XYconstant is one of those tunes thats hard not to love. A buoyant and uplifting production with a hook that leaves you hooked. XYconstant has been playing his cards right, receiving more and more praise and viral buzz with every new production and remix shared in the run-up to the forthcoming debut EP, 'X = Y' (no date of release as of yet).
Expect big things.

The Weeknd - Often (Kygo Remix)

This blog has seen a wave of drum & bass posts lately, and I specifically wanted to keep it not-so-particular in terms of genre (which will always a bit of a struggle for me as drum & bass is what I pay most attention to) - so i'm fragmenting it up with a couple alternative tunes. Starting with this remix from Kygo of The Weeknd 'Often'. Smooth and silky vocals re-mastered by a champion of chill, uplifting summer-time beats. It's the last stretch of summer so we have to make the most of these productions.

Icicle - The Edge

Absolute filth.
'The Edge', wielding a feature from Metropolis is definitely one you can expect to be hearing a lot more of if you circulate the drum scene, this is a certified banger designed for the raving power hours.
The first tune to be taken from Icicle's sophomore album.

The single release is on September 28th via Shogun Audio, who will be celebrating their 10th birthday soon in London. I got my ticket and it's definitely not one to be missed; looking to be one of their biggest events to date, the line up is absolutely huge and tickets at the moment are a very reasonable price (check the FB event here).
