LOLO ft. Giggs - Gangsters (XYconstant Remix)

You might recognise the work of UK producer XYconstant from his release of his debut track 'Hunny' last December or previous remixes he's done for MNEK & Disclosures 'White Noise'.

This time he's back showcasing his skills on LOLO's track with Giggs 'Gangsters', complimenting the vocals with an undeniably captivating and bouncy house beat. This remix is getting some decent buzz online and is proving to be pretty popular with listeners so expect to hear more from XYconstant in 2014.

Gorgon City - No More

North London production duo Matt & Kye, better known as Gorgon City have well and truly proved that they are some of the hottest new producers to break their way into the music scene. Hotly tipped for 2014, their latest release 'No More' follows up their previous club successor 'Ready For Your Love' and sounds as though it's going to get just as much attention. 'No More' features the stunning vocals of Liv and is available as a free download  ahead of the release of their forthcoming debut album. Real catchy track this one, expect to hear it receiving a lot of radio and club play in the coming months.

Ty Dolla $ign - Or Nah (The Weeknd Remix)

Not usually the kind of tune I go for, but this track is so smooth I could't resist. The Weeknd remixes Ty Dolla $ign and Wiz Khalifa's collaboration track 'Or Nah' by incorporating his sultry vocal ability into the verses; this track is basically pure unadulterated sex music - if very explicit, slightly misogynistic lyrics aren't your thing you might want think twice about pressing play - it's not really the kind of tune you want to blare out in the workplace or during a cosy night in with your grandparents. Although if the cashmere vocals and rumbling-sub beats will no doubt have you coming back for more, consider yourself in luck because this track is available as a free download from The Weeknd's Soundcloud page.

Beyonce - Drunk N Luv (Diplo Remix)

Unless you've been living under a rock or in a sound-proof room or something equally as ridiculous, the chances are you've become familiarised with Beyonce's current smash-hit 'Drunk In Love' which marks her ever-awaited return to the charts. The tune has been receiving the remix treatment from left, right and centre from various producers and artists alike that want to take the track to a new place, and this remix does just that. My personal favourite version of this track comes from none other than the king-pin himself Diplo - no stranger to remixing Beyonce's big-hits, this is the version I'd expect to get a club bouncing.
No info on a release of this version.

The Fugees - Ready Or Not (Whiiite Remix)

It's a bold move remixing the classic of all classics, The Fugees '96 smash hit 'Ready Or Not', but Trap music champion Whiiite does a good job in doing the track justice in bringing the song into the modernised bass-music spectrum. This track was released free from the producer in order to celebrate him hitting 50k likes on Facebook, pretty impressive stuff.
Go grab this track as a free download over at his Facebook page;

Flite - Featherfall

The first i've heard from producer/vocalist Flite, based in Virginia over in the USA.
Gorgeous track, gaining some decent recognition right now as well and deservedly so - that drum breaks so nicely in with the melodic production.
Track is out now, grab it HERE.

Larry Fisherman - Diablo

Mac Miller, for those of you who follow the blog you will know that i'm a persistent fan, is back under his new production alias Larry Fisherman with his track 'Diablo'. Mac has produced the track sampling John Coltrane and Duke Ellingtons 'In a Sentimental Mood', keeping the euphonious ethos of the original track and featuring his ever-insightful lyrics and vocals. Just goes to show that this guy is the real deal in all fields of the music industry. We've heard him rap, seen him manage himself and now he's impressing with production skills too.

Duke Dumont - I Got U (High Contrast Remix)

Forget the storms and the shitty weather that we're having as Drum & Bass legend, High Contrast, delivers a subtle yet outstanding remix of Duke Dumont's forthcoming single  'I Got U' (available March 16th).
A vibrant, tireless beat complimented by those uplifting steel drums that makes you want to book a one way ticket to the carribean. Big fan of the original of this track - can't fault it, but High Contrast gives it that little bit more zest which makes this version the one for me. Love it, watch out for the original to drop in order to obtain this remix.

Syron - Three Dreams

You can call it what you want - pop, garage, RnB, house, breakbeat; it doesn't really matter, because newbie to the commercial scene, Syron, is gaining some pretty noticeable momentum and if you circulate the club scene you're more than likely to have heard Syron's infectious music before - A catchy, energetic production from London-based dance outfit Horror Stories accompanied by Syron's powerful, belting vocals makes for a solid track to watch out for in the next couple months.

Paul Woolford - Untitled (Call Out Your Name)

So this track from Paul Woolford, originally titled the enigmatic 'Untitled' was first showcased at the beginning of last summer. However with the release of this track not being until April, Woolford has released an official video for the track which is probably one of the strangest and most disturbing videos i've ever seen which just goes to prove, yoga and cats simply don't go together (or maybe do, in a very creepy way). This track isn't my usual cup of tea but it's definitely gotten stuck in my head and I find myself tapping my feet and bopping my head along to the simplistic piano loops, so here you go.
Pre-Order

Bishop Nehru - You Stressin'

Disclosure have proved that they have the ability to completely boss the dance music scene, now reaching global success, topping the charts and selling out pretty much all of their shows. But as if this wasn't enough for them, they have turned their hand to rap production, and it turns out that they're pretty damn good at that too - they keep their signature house style on this track 'You Stressin' that they produced for breakthrough 16 year-old New York rapper Bishop Nehru. Keeping their signature house sound, if only slightly toned down in order to let the lyrical flow really shine, Disclosure have once again shown their impressive versatility. This is a tune for all occasions.

Tujamo & Plastik Funk - Dr. Who (Nu:Tone Remix)

Nu:Tone completely takes German producers Tujamo & Plastik Funks summer smash-hit 'Dr. Who' that now wields a feature from South-London rapper Sneakbo and turns it on its head with a simplistic, jungle production that's reminiscent of the old school.

It's a little different to what we've been hearing recently from Nu:tone's releases off other labels, but it still seems to be going down a treat with listeners.

This remix and it's instrumental will be available along with the original 'Dr. Who' single via 3Beat recordings 23rd March
(pre-order HERE)

Zero T - Truth Hurts ft. Riya

You may recognise Riya's blissful vocals from her fair share of features on hugely popular drum tracks from various producers such as Total Science, Foreign Concept and Lenzman. This latest collaboration she's done on Zero T's 'Truth Hurts' keeps the back catalogue strong as those soothing, soul cleansing vocals fit together like hand in glove to Zero T's stable, rolling production to create something dark and tranquil, all available for free download from her Soundcloud page below.

Major Lazer - Aerosol Can (feat. Pharrell)

Major Lazer returns with his latest single 'Aerosol Can', featuring none other than man of the moment (and every moment), Pharrell.

This is the first taste of whats to come from Major Lazer's next project, forthcoming 'Apocalypse Soon' EP that will be available from Feb. 25th.

Real excited to see this collaboration, Major Lazer and Pharrell are individually two of the best people i've had the blessing to see live, and this track lives up to expectation. Pharrell is absolute fire on the track, lyrical flow is mad - and of course, Major Lazer's trademark moombahton production isn't to be faulted.

Pre-Order 'Apocalypse Soon' here

Vicetone - Lowdown

Tunes like this that make me want to fast-forward to festival season, such a big track that is bound to make a crowd go a little informal. Big room tracks like this spark something inside me that's distinctive only to this genre - I always relate tracks like this to festival season because it's these types that I hear get dropped in festival sets but never usually at club nights. Dutch duo, Vicetone produce an anthem that'll be released on Spinnin' Records, who seem to be sweeping up the electro/house scene at the moment, February 10th.

Kove - Gobble

Kove's 'Measures' EP was one of if not my favourite release of last year, all the tracks from that EP get played by me regularly - naturally i'm excited to hear new music come from the London producer. Pleasantly surprised with this track, Kove never seems to stick to one particular sound as can be heard with his variation in his past releases; he takes a darker influence on this production and pulls it off nicely, the kind of tune that makes you scrunch your nose and get your two fingers blazing. Looking forward for more to come this year from Kove.
'Gobble' will be available February 16th via MTA Records.

Bachelors of Science - Beats Still Own The Rhythm

It's such a rarity to find new, well-produced liquid that takes you away quite like this.
Bachelor's of Science produce an absolute beauty as part of the upcoming Liquicity 'Escapism' compilation album that promises pure quality productions from the likes of BCee, Keeno and Maduk.
The album will be available to purchase from Feb 17th, but Liquicity have been releasing teasers like this one over on their YouTube channel and I am yet to hear anything that isn't stunningly produced.

Pre-Order 'Escapism' from the Liquicity shop HERE.
