Sigma - Rudeboy ft. Doctor

Straight off the back of my last post, Sigma makes a return to the blog - this time with the official video for his latest single 'Rudeboy' ft. Doctor. These guys are big in the game at the moment and it doesn't look like its slowing down any time soon. I can already tell that this latest tune is one of the drum and bass anthems of the year that is going to take the scene by storm.
The track will be released as part of Sigma's 'Rudeboy EP' via 3Beat recordings.

Sigma - Summer Calling (Sunship Remix)

There's no mistaking a Sunship remix, they're back and applying their signature garage sound to Sigma's drum and bass summertime anthem 'Summer Calling'.
I've loved every single rendition i've heard of this track, but it's been a long time since i've heard a garage tune which takes it back to the old skool quite like this - its enough to get my feet shuffling all over the place.

Stylo G ft. Sister Nancy - Badd (TC Remix)

BIG.
Speakers should be turned up loud for this one, it's a beastly remix from the one and only TC.

TC's remixes as of late have been receiving a lot of recognition and high praise but this has to be one of my personal favourites of recent TC productions - he takes Stylo G's Reggae riddim and turns it into a heavy track worthy of a pull up in any set. Can't wait to hear this one start getting dropped on nights out.

The Bristol-hailing producer applies elements of all the previous genre's he's dabbled in and creates a signature sound enough to get anyone and everyone moving.

The remix will be available alongside Stylo G's original single, 20/10/13.

Mike Skinner - Know There's No

Mike Skinner, genius and general legend - his musical back catalogue is outstanding, he's released some iconic tunes in his time and has covered all bases - rapper, producer, manager, DJ - the lot.
It's enough to get my excitement racing when I see any new material come into the public and this new instrumental that he's released hasn't let me down one bit.
That beat change at 1.15 had me instantly smiling - elements like the piano loops and altered vocals hold reminiscent to Skinner's early production's with The Streets.
Some seriously impressive stuff, and given to us for free.
Legend.

Snow Ghosts - And The World Was Gone (Calibre Remix)

I'm yet to hear anything come from Calibre that I don't like - the Irish producer has a talent for creating tracks which make you feel like you've hit the musical jackpot, and this latest remix he's done for Snow Ghosts 'And The World Was Gone' is no exception to this. The timing on the release of this track couldn't be more appropriate as the days are growing colder and wetter and we're all feeling a little nostalgic of the summer - theres nothing quite like reflecting your feelings with a song, especially when it's as good as this.

Hybrid Minds - Trauma

Hybrid Minds can do no wrong in my eyes, easily some of my favourite drum and bass producers on the scene at the moment. I've heard this track getting some radio play but wasn't able to find a decent audio until now - 'Trauma' features the vocals of Rocky Nti who you might recognise from featuring on previous BCee and Jakwob releases.
Stunning,  soulful, liquid vibes as expected from the duo. This track is taken from their upcoming album Mountains, which today was revealed to be having its release via. Spearhead on December 1st.
Expect big, big things.

Majestic & Jungle 70 - Creeping In The Dark (Preditah Remix)

Majestic & Jungle 70's hit 'Creeping In The Dark' has a big bassline in its own right, but Birmingham-born garage/grime producer Preditah pushes it to a whole new level - remix available alongside the original from October 14th - PRE ORDER HERE

Ms Dynamite & Shy FX - Cloud 9

Shy FX & Ms Dynamite keep the summer, carnival vibes going through the autumn months with their new video to their latest collab, Cloud 9. It's enough to make anyone feel nostalgic and provoke the summer blues - but the track is phenomenal, welcome back Shy FX.

Fred V & Grafix - Here With You

Fred V & Grafix are BACK. With the success of the 'Goggles' EP earlier in the year still keeping the duo potently hyped up within the drum & bass scene, now seems like a perfect time to tease us with what's to come from the follow-up EP 'Here With You'.
Fred V & Grafix are riding a wave of momentum and this EP will be a big one for them - the title track features the soulful vocals of US singer/songwriter Collin Mcloughlin which blend well with the dance floor-driven, feel good sounds of Fred V & Grafix.
The second song on the EP is the one that really got me - 'Minor Happy' - acting as the gentler, sister song to their past hit 'Major Happy' - somewhat reminding me of Grafix early work.

Duke Dumont - Need U (Dave Edwards Remix)

I was close to scrolling straight past this when I saw it climbing the hype machine chart purely because i've heard the original and various renditions so many times now it makes my head dizzy. It would've been the wrong decision however because this Dave Edwards remix is a refreshing take on the house tune, the production used to isolate the verses with the added electronica pop-like hook makes this version sound more like the original than the original, if that makes any sense at all.
By that I mean this remix brings out a commercial-pop sound to arguably the biggest house song of the year.

Basecamp - Rydia (Joe Hertz Remix)

It wasn't long ago that I featured Joe Hertz's debut single 'At Your Touch' and was stating big things were to be expected - Well he's back with his latest remix for Basecamp's powerful down-tempo track 'Rydia', bringing that sultry house sound to make a really catchy tune. There's something to be said for the remix going straight onto majestic casual mere minutes after it being premiered online.
And its all offered to us for the sweet price of absolutely nothing - yep, free download.

Camo & Krooked - Loving You Is Easy

I'm a solid Camo & Krooked fan - Zeitgeist was released a couple days back and although i've heard a fair amount of criticism (as expected, you always get criticism from original plans when an artist changes their sound) - I personally think the album is pretty fucking sick.

Times change and people want to hear something new and acts want to appeal to wide audiences - Camo & Krooked have released various albums worth of drum and bass tunes with their signature sound on it - but what I love about the new album is they keep that same signature sound and can apply it to other genres as well as drum. This track in particular makes a good nu disco/funk track but it's that echoed drop which makes the tune for me. Sooo fresh.

A lot of comparisons being made to the recent Daft Punk sound and possible inspiration being drawn from that - i'll let you make up your own mind.

Nerve - Magic Medicine

Huge track that's come off the recent Playaz release 'The Flavours EP vol. 6' which contains a couple other bangers from Jaydan, Mob Tactics +more - worth giving a listen - purchase on iTunes.
This release has also been climbing its way up the beatport drum and bass chart and is currently residing in the top 10, so if you haven't heard from Nerve before, the Italian duo may be ones to watch.
