Lunar C - Contradict

What a year Lunar C is having, he's just released his latest EP "Good Times and Dead Brain Cells" which rose to huge success in the iTunes hip-hop chart and has proved Lunar to be one of the fastest rising UK rap talents at present.

His latest video, Contradict, taken from the EP, gives a behind the scene look at Lunar C's summer on tour as he travelled to play various festivals and gigs around the UK.
Track produced by Wize.

Good Times and Dead Brain Cells available now:

Mind Vortex - Gravity

Certified banger.
Mind Vortex thrust their way back into the scene no holds barred - one of those tunes thats garunteed to get everyone going a bit silly whether they know the tune or not.
Hefty kicks and a weighty bass make for a heavy tune which I'm sure we'll hear dropped in a couple sets in the upcoming months.

Available to purchase from iTunes now

Sam Binga - AYO!

FIYAH.
Official video for upcoming release from Sam Binga on Critical, collaborating with the vocal agility of Redders.
Sam Binga discusses the inspiration behind the track -

"I guess the main idea behind 'AYO!' was to make something crunchy and lo-fi, but still heavy enough for the floor. I think I was listening to a lot of Timbaland beats around the time I built this one - I've always loved the massive kicks and weird squashy snares he uses, so I wanted to try something along those lines at DnB speed. The rest seemed to flow quite organically and Redders brought his usual charisma and animation to the vocal. Like the man says, everyone knows he mashes up the show... "

Full Release October 7th.

Azealia Banks x Pharrell - ATM JAM (Kaytranada Remix)

Being a big fan of both Azealia Banks and Pharrell, I was a little disappointed with the original collaboration 'ATM JAM', the tune just felt like it was missing something important - which is where ever-rising producer Kaytranada plays into favour.

Spinning his signature RnB/jazz influenced house into the production with added synth, drums and claps to produce something fresh which would only come from the remix guru himself.
Free Download, enjoy.

Goldroom - Embrace

Los Angeles based producer Josh Legg a.k.a Goldroom treats fans with his new EP after 2 years out of the game, teaming up with singer Ariela Jacobs and drummer Nick Sandler.

Guest vocalist Ariela Jacobs sweet voice accompanies well to Goldroom's sun-drenched synth to produce an infectious, fresh and feel good track that yearns a feeling of nostalgia.

Chynna - Selfie

No time like the present to introduce a fresh, young female rapper into the hip-hop game. Introducing Philadelphia born-and-raised Chynna.

I had not heard of Chynna before this track came to my attention but I like her already - although there's been an uprising of female rappers in the music industry as of late, Chynna seems to take a less gimmicky stance - stepping up to rap over one of hip-hops ultimate classic instrumentals from Busta Rhymes 'Everything Remains Raw', and in my opinion, it works.

Anyone else who's a fan, you're in luck, this track is available as a free download from her Soundcloud page below:

Bondax - Giving It All

Bondax release the brand new video for their popular feel-good track 'Giving It All' - a track that makes you want that summer buzz to last forever.

These guys are so young and their ability to produce good, catchy tracks is so consistent you can't not give them respect to what their doing.

Released September 22nd via Relentless.

Capital Cities - Safe & Sound (Nu:Logic Remix)

What a tune.

I've got no information on a release or anything really other than I heard it playing on Friction's show on Radio 1 the other day and this is the only audio I can find for the track online at the moment - so more information to come, I guess.

Keep posted: https://www.facebook.com/nulogicdnb

Drake - Hold On, We're Going Home (Kastle Remix)

I never fully caught on tho the Drake hype - the music isn't terrible it's all just a bit samey to me. That being said I wasn't a big fan of 'Hold On, We're Going Home', however, anyone who can remix an original that i'm not a particular fan of and turn it into a tune that keeps my finger against that replay button deserves massive respect in my eyes.

The man behind the remix, Kastle, has given this one out as a free download for those of you who head over to his Facebook page.  It's one of those kick-back house tunes that makes me want to grasp tightly onto the little bit of summer left before I pursue a year of pure stress. Enjoy,

Ben Pearce - What I Might Do (Kilter Remix)

I assume everyone knows the original from Ben Pearce - I was a huge fan (like most other people) when this track took the house scene by storm, however, now I hear it played every pre-drinks, house party, night out and after party, and as does with most popular tunes, although it deserved all its praise, I grew bored quicker than I knew.

Nothing to re-kindle the original tunes attraction by a very well thought-out remix from Australian producer Kilter, keeping the tune alive. A track for all occasions, weather it's a party or intimate atmosphere, the remix makes the track even more versatile in its purpose.

Maztek - What We Bring

There might be a few people who don't know Maztek, but this Italian producer has been in the game for a long time - forming his own label back in 2005 and having collaborated with some greats and having releases on various labels including Renegade Hardware & Hospital - this guy is by no means a newbie to drum & bass.

Now, he's teamed up with MC Nuclear who's lyrical talent flows perfectly with this dark, bass-heavy tech track.

Fourward - Black Tooth Grin

Woiiii.
Straight off the back of their hit Sewer Run released via Mainframe Recordings, Austrian quintet Fourward release another big tech d&b smash hit with their A-Side 'Black Tooth Grin' off their latest release on SGN:LTD.

Haven't been able to escape these guys recently, but i'm loving everything i'm hearing.

Phaeleh - Tokoi

Phaeleh releases the official video for his track Tokoi, taken from the new album 'Tides'.
This is my personal favourite track off the album, great production - a feel-good breakbeat which reminds me of the newer Bonobo material.

Dems - Toca's Miracle

For those who don't know, get to know.
Dan, Dave and Duncan - the boys of Dems are picking up their momentum in the music industry, releasing some seriously impressive stuff

Dems latest video takes on a huge dance floor classic - 'Toca's Miracle' by Fragma, a tune i'm sure most people have heard, but never anything like this.
Dems put their own ambient and chilling twist on the track to make it completely their own.

Wilkinson - Afterglow

Wilkinson absolutely smashes it with this one - i'm predicting a whole lot of radio play and for this track to soar into commercial success.

Former Voice contestant Becky Hill is making quite a name for herself as a vocalist amongst the drum and bass scene - after featuring on a Rudimental track and touring the UK with them, she has now put her vocal phenomena into this latest track from Wilkinson.

Release on 13th October and taken from his debut LP 'Lazers Not Included' which will be available via RAM / EMI.

SirensCeol - Nightmare (Maxin Remix)

I love it when little-known producers manage to get the recognition they deserve.

Maxin is a fresh name to the liquid drum and bass scene but his remix of SirensCeol's dubstep track 'Nightmare' didn't go unnoticed from the guys over at Liquicity.
Couldn't be more glad to see a track like this getting a decent promotional platform because this is just late night blissfulness.

Wankelmut & Emma Louise - My Head Is A Jungle (MK Remix)

This song has lent itself to many big remixes over the summer months, but Mark Kinchen a.k.a MK produces, in my eyes, the most stand-out version.
Adding that piano undertone to bring an upbeat disco vibe to an already outstanding track. The remix is a garunteed to get everyone on the dance floor - MK continues to prove that there is no expiry date on being a solid producer and pioneer of his genre.
